As the first unattached male to join the pod after Paenos -- who is soundly attached to Charybdis -- Typhon is both possessive of and believes himself possessed by the other females of the pod, as if they are both his harem and he their slave. His behavior is a strange combination of submissive and presumptuous around them, while another male's presence tends to put the smaller serpent on edge. There near-always seems to be an eager, courting undertone to the way he treats the females, though his efforts have yet to earn him anything.
