Gemini is a rara avis among those unplugged from the Matrix: not only did he wake to a new world, but to a new gender as well! But despite this physical change in sex, his appearance between the Real and the Matrix is largely the same. He is short and slender, lithe but not very strong. His features are soft and somewhat childlike, indeterminate enough that his female Matrix persona looks the tomboy role, while his Real embodiment is less than masculine. His hair is a shaggy mess and a bright copper red. In both personas, a six-inch, braided rattail trails down the back of his neck. His eyes are a light hazel, vaguely yellowish, and slightly angled at the outer corners. Red is his favorite color and primary among his Matrix wardrobe, which consists of loose pants and long tunics. In the Real, he wears whatever he can come by, as most do. |

Gemini's Awakening turned what was once a very light-hearted girl into a somewhat reserved boy. When in the Matrix or when he forgets himself in the Real (quite literally) he is bright and amiable, quick to laugh and joke around. His temper is also quick to flare, and equally likely to smolder slowly or die as suddenly as it fired up. He is loyal to his friends and quick to leap to their defense, and has a general tendency to both act and react without thinking. When he is in the Real, however, and "remembers" that he is no longer female, he becomes quieter and very self-conscious. Even though he was never very feminine to begin with, Gemini never actually wanted to be male, and finds it awkward to be one. He is preoccupied with "not knowing how to be a guy", and this puts a damper on the way he acts in general. He still thinks of himself as female and doubts that will ever change, but can't get over thinking there's something wrong with not acting "more like" a guy, despite having been a tomboy in the first place! The crew of the Lazarus are all certain that Gemini will relax in time. |
