He often acts as a sort of translator between Gavin and the other xenodragons, translating thought into word and vice versa whenever communications fall short, despite Gavin's comfort with wordless telepathy. Vluhlenda prefers telempathy itself, however, and defaults to that mode of communication more and more often.
