The being called the Red Demon simply exists. The words he speaks are not in a language anyone recognizes, and he is never seen doing any of the things that indicate a "normal" creature (such as eating or sleeping). He only stalks the warped hallways of the Fate, terrifying many a creature when they hear the scraping shriek of his sword being dragged along the ground. Darkness follows him wherever he goes, though it is not a tangible shadow as much as that things go dim when he approaches, as if the light itself flees from his presence. Wherever he goes, the scent of blood and rust pervades, choking the senses with its intensity. Even the cruelest and coldest of individuals aboard the ship know what fear is like when the Red Demon approaches, for he is an abomination upon our world of logic and sanity, and the unconscious soul of all things revile his existence--even Dritanys herself grows subdued when he nears. No one knows where he came from, nor where he goes when he simply vanishes from the ship. It was once thought Dritanys had summoned him, but he is a being that no other can rule. Perhaps, some say, it is he who is the true Master of the Twisted Fate. |
