Toke is an acutely intelligent wolf. When Acheron came to Ford Aigan, the black pup was mostly just interested in getting a bond or caretaker so that he could get off the Aigard world and away from the Balespawn-spread corruption spreading there. Arriving at the mighty ship, he was shocked to learn it had been the place of origin of the very Balespawn he sought to flee, but was quick to see the benefits of being considered a resident of the Fate: he had protection here that he did not have at his birthplace. With that revelation, he quickly acclimated to life as a citizen of the massive ship. Toke is now a very enthusiastic and friendly youth, finding that the Twisted Fate is not such a bad place when you're not a stranger to it. Sure, it has some methods he doesn't agree with--like the seizing of candidates by force--but it's easy to focus on the good aspects of the ship when they're actually available to you. His guardian is also now his master, as unto an apprentice, teaching Toke the ways of Seeking--though Toke is only interested in Seeking people who actually wish to be sought. |
