Triat is a creature whose actions are entirely guided by its innate sense of balance and equilibrium. Though it cannot enforce balance across the universe, or even within the Fate alone, it pursues balance in its own actions: an act of magic must be matched with an act of technology, and vice versa. Its broad array of talents make it quite useful in the Fate's labs, but its inescapable need to do things equally makes it a somewhat slower worker than the others.
To a lesser extent, it also seeks balance between chaos and order: one action committed spontaneously must be matched by one that is careful and planned.
